Champions League Tuesday!!!

Champions League Tuesday!!!

Hello everybody,
Today I have a new post and it'll basically be a preview of the Champions League fixtures that will feature today. As you know it's the first leg of the first semi-final in this years Champions League and this year the winner will be different to last year. Barcelona lost to Atlético and are now out. But let's focus on today's very important fixtures which is between: Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Manchester City was the team that nobody thought would even reach the quarter finals. And after a very tough fixtures against PSG most people thought the Manchester team were out. But they managed to get a 2-2 draw at the Parc des princes which was a very nice advantage for Manchester because they had 2 goals away. The task now was to keep a clean sheet and try to score a goal. That's exactly what they did. They kept a clean sheet and were even able to score a goal to leave it 1-0 and Manchester City were through to the semi-finals for the first time in history.
But Real Madrid have a very different story. Real Madrid have high expectations on them and after the disaster in La Liga that made them 12 points behind the leader (Barcelona) and the disaster in Copa del Rey (when they were suspended) Real Madrid had no other hopes than winning the Champions League to make the fans happy. Real Madrid had a very good start at the Champions League and up until the quarterfinals they had conceded no goals at home and they had only conceded 3 goals away (against Shakhtar Donetsk). Keylor Navas had kept a clean sheet on all matches and he was the best penalty-saver in the La Liga (and he is still). But after Real Madrid's defeat against Wolfsburg, many people were disappointed. Even though Real Madrid had won the Clasico, there were no signs of Barcelona giving away the liga. Today we can see that Barcelona did almost lose hold of the lead and Real Madrid are only one point less now. Not only that, but Real Madrid's streak of 9 wins in a row is amazing. And the 3-0 win at the Bernabeu to proceed to the Semi-finals gave Real Madrid and their fans mental strength. But we still don't know who will win this fixture. Only 2 hours left to see...
