Cup Finals Summaries

Today (30 May 2015) there were several cup finals. Some people went home sad while others celebrated for a long time. Here are the sumaries.

FA Cup Final

Arsenal outclassed Aston Villa 4-0 today and claimed their 12th FA Cup crown. The first Goal was scored by Theo Walcott, and then the goals continued. Sanchez stunning long shot, Mertesacker's header and Girouds last second tap-in which was an offside but the referee didn't say anythig. It's Arsenals second consecutive FA Cup. Arsene Wenger is now one of english football managerial legends. 

Copa Del Rey

 

Barcelona won against Athletic Bilbao 3-1 with Messi scoring the first goal of the game and the last goal. After the Victory Luis Enrique said his team was outstanding. Barcelona had a great season. They won La Liga, Copa Del Rey and are now aiming for the Champions League title. The final Will be on Saturday in Berlin against Juventus. The goal that wasn't scored by Messi was scored by Neymar with an assist from Suarez.Iñaki Williams scored a back header for Bilbao.

DFB-Pokal

 

Wolfsburg played an amazing match and won the DFB-Pokal final against Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund. The match started with a very early goal for Dortmund in the fifth minute. The Goal was scored by a stunning volley from Aubameyang. The final in Olympistadion in Berlin was very intresting. Most people thought Dortmund would win after the early 1-0 goal, but Wolfsburg didn't give up that fast. Luiz Gustavo leveled up in the 22nd minute and De Bruyne scored 1-2 with his magnificent 25-yard drive in the 33rd minute. Bas Dost scored 1-3 with his powerful header in the 38th minute. Dortmund could not get back and Wolfssburg won the DFB-Pokal Final.

Coupe De France

 

Paris Saint-Germain won their fourth trophy this season. Edinson Cavani's header in the second half was enough for PSG to win the title against Auxerre at the Stade De France. Earlier in the season PSG had retained the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de la Ligue and won the pre-season Trophee des Champions tournament. It took PSG 64 minutes until Cavani scored with a clever header that went past Donovan Leon.
