Yesterday was one of the biggest days in 2016's football calendar (so far...) Real Madrid had to win its home game against Vfl Wolfsburg. Easy? Maybe. Well they won it with a hattrick from Ronaldo and a clean sheet from Keylor Navas and Real Madrid is the best team at its home ground in the whole competition. They have conceded 0 goals at the Santiago Bernabeu. And Ronaldo has now scored 16 goals already!

      Wolfsburg started defensively and played a passing game to try and waste time. But they didn't manage to. Because in the 15th minute, a great cross from Carvajal. It was deflected by a defender but it reached Cristiano Ronaldo who was able to score the first of his 3 goals that match. Wolfsburg knew that only one goal would probably be the winning goal. But in the 16th minute (1 minute after the first goal) Toni Kroos took the corner. It reach Ronaldo's head and that was the second goal after 1 minute. Now it was level on aggregate. Later Draxler was injured and Wolfsburg's chances of a win was decreased. 

      The second half went on to be dominated by Real Madrid. Another Set-piece for Real Madrid. Ramos heads it towards goal, it hits the post and then there's an argument to discuss. Because the shot was saved by Benaglio but when he touched it the ball had already crossed the line. So it was a goal for Real Madrid that was told no by the referee.

      But Madrid didn't give up and after 77 minutes there was another set piece. And Real Madrid had the best free-kick taker in the world. Ronaldo stepped up and struck the shot. It found a hole in the wall beside Naldo and ended up in the right bottom corner of the net. That was it. The hattrick, the winning goal, the ticket to the Semi-Finals, the 16th goal for Ronaldo and the Champions League quarter-final was won by Real Madrid.

As for the other game (Man. City vs PSG) Manchester City were very strong. They received a penalty after a harsh tackle from Kevin Trapp on Agüero. Agüero put the ball on the spot. Got ready. stepped up and hit it. MISS! Agüero had wasted the chance. But it was not the first one. Chance after chance was wasted by Agüero and PSG had to work hard. Before the end of the first half Thiago Motta was injured. And Blaise Matuidi was suspended so Blanc had to choose Lucas Moura as a replacement. But PSG had to change tactics.

      In the 76th minute Kevin De Bruyne received the ball. He dribbled past an opponent and struck a shot form outside the box. Into the Right bottom corner and that was the winning goal for Pellegrini and the first time Man. City reach the semi-finals of Champions League
