Champions League Tuesday- The Analysis
Hi everybody,
So yesterday was the day for the UCL Quarter finals. Any surprises? Not really. We all know Bayern Münich's 1-0 win was a very weak one, but the germans dominated and Benfica had only one shot at goal. So great goalkeeping and defendingg from benfica and bad luck for Bayern. Of course they have another tie to look forward to but if Benfica can't score at least one goal and keep a clean sheet.
Bayern Münich's early goal seemed to be the beginning of a goal-fest. But unfortunately for Bayern, the game went on to stay with the same result. As for Benfica's defence, a good match, but in many aspcets the match was boring, and dominated by Bayern who weren't able to score more than one goal.
As for the other match, Barcelona vs Atletico, it was a real derby. But the second half could've been even more boring than Bayern's game. Atletico started beautifully with a goal from Fernando Torres underneath Ter Stegens legs, but Fernandos luck and Diego Simeones happines found it's end 10 minutes after the goal. Fernando Torres got the second yellow card after 35 minutes. It was indeed a very silly challange but did it really deserve a red card. Anyways, the match went on to be dominated by Barcelona. The possession after the match was 70% for Barcelona, and 30% for Atletico. Bad luck for Atletico, but I think the match at the Vicente Calderon in Madrid will be amazing, and hopefully we'll see all 11 players on the pitch for both teams.
Suarez scored his two goals then around the 70 minutes and made it victory for Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
